Look at existing eBay listings – Once you find the products then look at who is selling the hot products. Pay close attention to the titles and descriptions of the product. Notice how many pictures if any are used. Learn as much as you can about who are the top sellers of the products you are interested in. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel when it comes to selling on eBay. Find out what works and do the same thing.
Use clear and beautiful photos: To sell your items quickly on ebay, you must include clear and beautiful photos when listing your items on ebay. An image is worth thousands of words. Make sure you include as many photos as possible to show your items in a detailed manner. This will help you sell items quickly on ebay.
You need to build up a very good reputation on Ebay. This means that you need to have a hundred percent or slightly below feedback rating. On Ebay many customers who have not bought from you before will make a decision on whether to buy from you based on your feedback rating. If you have a poor rating it is unlikely that people will buy from you. If you have an excellent rating then people will trust you enough to make a purchase. This can often be a stumbling block if you sell expensive items. I suggest that in this scenario you first build your feedback rating by selling inexpensive items. The reason behind this is that this will allow you to build a good feedback rating as people are more likely to purchase something inexpensive if you have not build your credibility yet.
Consider including a free gift with every successful transaction. It doesn't not have to be a high value item, but make sure it is relevant to the item your selling. For example, if your selling diaries consider a luxury pen as a free gift.
Go to great efforts to ensure your item is carefully packed, especially items which are easily breakable. Use plenty of bubble paper to support the item inside the packaging.
Try to include popular keywords inside your eBay title. This will give your item more exposure as eBay buyers normally search for specific keywords.
Leave feedback as soon as possible, after a buyer has paid. Many sellers make the mistake of refusing to leave feedback until the buyer has left it. This attitude only adds to any tension should a dispute occur later on & in many instances leads to no feedback being left for either party.
Where ever possible, include a tracking number for your shipment. This will give you additional protection if accepting paypal and also allow you buyer to track the order online - giving them an accurate idea of when the item will arrive.
